School’s back in session, but there is still plenty of time for family fun on the weekends! Check out these three cool local activities for your family.
Catch a concert at the Bandshell. Daytona Beach’s famous music venue regularly offers free concerts, so it’s a great place to visit on a fall weekend! While you’re there, be sure to soak up some sun at the adjacent beach, or do some shopping at the expansive Ocean Walk Shoppes.
Take a Speedway tour. Daytona is perhaps best known for its International Speedway, and one of our favorite summer traditions is heading down to take a tour! Visit the Speedway website at www.daytonainternationalspeedway.com to find out when they’re available.
Visit a state park. If you want to go camping, hiking, or just get some nature-time now that some cooler fall weather is on its way, stay local and visit a state park! Drive a few miles north to Bulow Creek State Park in Ormond Beach—here you’ll be able to have a picnic while overlooking one of the largest remaining strips of live oak forests in Florida! You can also check out Tomoka State Park, another Ormond Beach site perfect for boating, canoeing, hiking and overnight camping.
