3 Tips for Visiting Our Daytona Beach Area Models

Are you beginning the process of buying your new dream home? That’s great news! Browsing around and looking at a few models is the first step of the journey. Before you stop by one of our homes, keep these three tips in mind to help you get the most out of your visit.

Plan before you go.

The most important thing to do before visiting a model home is pre-visit planning. This may seem like a given, but it’s worth remembering anyway. What is your price range? What are you willing to live with and what might you have to pay to get the custom options you want? We can help you with the details, but just have your numbers ready and be familiar with your situation.

It’s also worth “going in” with a firmly-established idea of what it is you want. If you have a vision in mind, it will save you from wasting time on less-than-ideal options and allow you to focus on what you really want and need.

Think about who you’re going to bring along.

This is a tip that really depends on your family dynamic and the situation behind your move. If you have younger kids who may not be as excited about the move (but you know it’s necessary), bringing them along before you’re sure about the home might lead to unwanted negativity. On the other hand, if your kids are older in age or are more likely to lend positivity to your move, then bringing them with you on your visit is a smart choice. In this case, it can help to let them get inside and more accurately understand the moving process and what goes into your decision.

Don’t get caught up in the little details.

Remember, there may be things you see in the model home that don’t quite fit the bill of what you personally wanted in your home—and that’s okay! Unlike when you buy from a private owner, our homes come with the ability to be customized to fit your liking. Ask about things on your tour of our homes to see if they’re able to be switched, changed and altered to your taste.
